Neophyte Bloggers have plethora of choices before starting a blog. They get often confused about choosing the right platform to start- wordpress,blogger or typepad ,et cetera. Recent Google trend shows that wordpress and blogger are the two dear platforms for bloggers and wordpress is emerging as a clear winner.
Google acquired blogger in 2003. No one was in competition with Google’s blogger that time. But since 2004 wordpress has clearly emerged out as a winner. People often move their blog from blogger to wordpress or they start their blog right from wordpress because wordpress provides thousands of add-ons applications as compared to blogger. The most important reason of this switch I see is that nobody wants to give a pie of cake to Google in terms of Adsense money they earn by their hardwork. If you are using blogger then about 22% of your Adsense income is eaten by Google (not officially declared figure). We can clearly see that mid 2006 wordpress has clearly surpassed blogger. Let’s see when blogger will ramp up to overthrow its nearest competitor - wordpress. I am sure that day is not too far. Google will do some Gooogling to do so.
