MS Outlook 2007 has a built-in feature which allows you to send SMS messages directly from Outlook using the service SMSOfficer. SMSOfficer service is based on the new OMS interface (Outlook Mobile Service) provided by Microsoft. When you send the SMS via outlook the SMS reaches to recipient’s mobile phone via SMSOfficer servers.
The service is not free. You need to purchase credits via paypal which can be used to send SMS text messages worldwide. While transacting through PayPal, make sure to use the same e-mail address as the one you used on SMSOfficer. Each credit lets you send one SMS text message or reminder, up to 160 characters in English or 70 characters in non-English.
