Search Recent Pages in Google using Date Dropdown Box

You may not get the updated news or information you are searching for in Google easily. Google indexes the search result pages based on their popularity. But you can access the latest information pertaining to your keywords in Google search engine . I will explain you with an example as shown in screenshot below.

Open Google.com and enter Roger Federer, you will get the following URL
http://www.google.co.in/search?hl=en&q=roger+federer&btnG=Google+Search&meta=

Add &as_qdr=d at the end of the URL.The resulting URL will be -
http://www.google.co.in/search?hl=en&q=roger+federer&btnG=Google+Search&meta=&as_qdr=d

When you hit enter you will get the results from those pages added to the Google index in the last 24 hours as shown in screenshot above. The power of &as_qdr= is behind this hack. The variables are d (day), w (week), m (month) and y (year). If you search and concatenated &as_qdr=d to the end, you’d get only results from those pages added to the Google index in the last 24 hours. You can add d1,d2,d3 ..so on and so forth.Similarly,m1,m2,m3…. Or y1,y2,y3.

When you add &as_qdr=d2, you will get results from past 2 days. Similarly, you can do for other variables,m or y depending upon your search criteria. You can effectively use this hack to search for federal, state and local government bid opportunities (request for quotation). You can also find what pages of your blog has been indexed in past 24 hours or past one month. Please share your views about this post. For more tips subscribe to my feeds
