Generally we pay no attention to duplicate images or files unless our disk space shows sign of less storage space. Then we start searching for images or files that are duplicate and it is very tedious task to find and remove them. You will find lots of utilities rolling in internet to remove duplicate images but they are not available for free use. Some offer the limited trial period or some charge few dollars for it.DeDuper finds all the images (.jpg, .jpe, .jpeg, .bmp) within selected directories or drives (and their sub-directories). It then does a binary comparison of all the files it finds which have exactly the same file size.If it finds two identical images they are displayed side by side, together with their file name, location and image size. You then have the option of deleting either the left-hand image or the right-hand image or ignoring the match and allowing the program to continue - or aborting the comparison routine.
You can also set it to automatically delete duplicates without viewing them once you find it useful. DeDuper does not compare the actual image. If you have two images, which appears identical to our eyes, but one has cropped border, Then the application consider it as a different image. It won't spot the same image at two different resolutions since the binary contents of each file are different.DeDuper spot the files which are absolutely identical in nature.
