Synchronize Google Calender With Microsoft Outlook

You can now syncronize all your events between Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook Calendar using Google Calendar Sync.As of now Google Calendar Sync will only sync events from your primary Google Calendar and your default Microsoft Outlook calendar and not on secondary calendars which means that you can only synchronize your main Google Calendar.According to Google you can adjust the synchronization frequency as well as the direction of information flow.

To begin syncing, follow the steps below:

1. Download Google Calendar Sync,http://dl.google.com/googlecalendarsync/GoogleCalendarSync_Installer.exe
2. Continue to follow through the Installation Options and click "Install" to finish the set-up process.

Once Google Calendar Sync is installed on your computer, the Google Calendar Sync Settings window will appear as seen below:

In the Settings window, enter your email address and password and select the Sync Option you prefer.There are three options between Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook Calendar:

All events in your primary Google Calendar and your Microsoft Outlook calendar will be synced together. After selecting this option, if you make any change in the events in either Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook Calendar ,it will be reflected in both applications.If the same event is modified multiple times in both applications, the most recent update will sync between Microsoft Outlook Calendar and Google Calendar. if you delete an event in Microsoft Outlook Calendar or Google Calendar, this event also will be deleted when viewing the other application.The drawback is that there is no way to sync events within a specific time frame in your calendar.May be in future this can be taken care of.

1-way: Google Calendar to Microsoft Outlook calendar
All events in your primary Google Calendar will get added to your default Microsoft Outlook calendar. If you modify any event in Google Calendar ,the same will be reflected in Microsoft Outlook Calendar as well. Any events created or modified in
Microsoft Outlook Calendar won’t be reflected in Google Calendar.

1-way: Microsoft Outlook calendar to Google Calendar
All events in your default Microsoft Outlook calendar will get added to your primary Google Calendar. If you modify any event in Microsoft Outlook Calendar,the same will be reflected in Google Calendar. But any events created or modified in Google Calendar won’t be reflected in Microsoft Outlook Calendar.

You need to set the time interval (minimum 10 minutes) for syncing to occur. You can even change the Google Calendar Sync Settings by double-clicking on the calendar icon in your Windows System Tray.
