Autosave your documents in MS Word to avoid any loss of work.

Suppose you are working on Word office 2007. Suddenly, the electricity went down then eventually you will loose your incomplete and unsaved document. It may happen to you if your UPS is not working or your laptop battery is not fully charged and suddenly your computer gets “Shut Down”. Do you know that you can still recover your document and resume your work from the point where you left it.In Microsoft word there is an option of Autosave.By default it is set to 10 minutes. You can set it to minimum of 1 minute and a maximum of 10 minutes. I would suggest setting it less than 3 minutes.
Steps to change the settings:

1) When you save the document for the first time press ‘CTRL+S’.A box will appear to give the name of the file. In that box see at the bottom left corner. Click on Tools.
2) Click on Save Options.

3) Click on “Save AutoRecover information every 1 minute”. You can change the duration ranging from 1 minute to 120 minutes.
4) AutoRecover Location can be found just below the Save AutoRecover information every 1 minute.
5) Click Ok.You are done.

How to check the hack?

Open MS Word and follow the steps mentioned above.
Note : Do not save the document.
After 1 minute forcibly shut down your computer and go to the location (as mentioned in step 4) you will be able to find out your document. Please share your views for the hack. For more information visit
